And the winner is.....

Drum roll please….. Jeffrey!

Just wanted to throw something up real quickly while I find time to write the official finale recap…

I have to say I was totally rooting for Uli to win. Her collection was breathtakingly beautiful and I couldn’t find a single piece I didn’t like. On the other hand, I can understand why the judges gave the win to Jeffrey, his collection was also really beautiful, but in a tough, edgy way and definitely showed an unique point of view and a lot of creativity. I liked most of it and thought the red dresses in the beginning were amazing as were the green striped outfits at the end.

I think all 4 designers put on fantastic shows, but sadly I think Michael maybe couldn’t live up to all the hype about him. If there is a problem with being America’s sweetheart, it would be that everyone expects the world from you.

I agree with the judges on Laura’s collection, while it was beautiful and well constructed, it was a fairly limited point of view. Although the more I think about it, she doesn’t really need to expand that much, the women who want to buy that style will buy and buy and buy… she is amazing at what she does!

Stayed tuned for my full length recap. I have pulled photos of my top and bottom looks for each collection and will talk more in depth about what I thought.

Quick question. What were you about to say when they cut to commercial in the show? There’s a clip of Kayne saying he’s rooting for Uli, and then you start to say “I—” and they cut to commercial. Idle curiosity—and the fact that I just saw it on Bravo’s Endless PR Reruns—compels me to ask.

I think I said about how I was rooting for Michael, but then after seeing the collections I had to go with Uli for the win… too bad they cut me off!

I also think I should stop standing next to people in photos or videos…it reminds me how short I am!

Well I wish you could show their one day, and I will never stand next to you because I am 6’7” ish.

Cool; thanks, Katherine. When watching the finale last night, I wondered, so had to ask (and figured Uli for the win, Jeffrey as runner-up; was not surprised they reversed it though, as it seemed they were looking for storytelling and Jeff’s story was a good deal more coherent than Uli’s).

As far as height, hey, I’m 4’10” at 25 years old, so don’t feel TOO short! Haha. Awaiting the recap.

I personally liked Uli’s collection the most too, but I was happy that Jeffrey won, I think that they were each deserving of the win.

Michael’s collection surprised me when I think about some of the classy outfits he made throughout Project Runway. Perhaps he’s the type of person who works better with more strict guidance and guidelines? I’m sure he’ll do well for himself, once he get some sense of his own personal voice as a designer.

Laura’s collection was beautifully done, but I agree that it was too limited for the win. Uli’s and Jeffrey’s collections were much more diverse.

Hey Katy, while we were watching the finale, we were wondering what was in those goodie bags that they gave out at Bryant Park? Are you at leave to tell?

One bonus to keep in mind about being short, you can always put on a mask at Halloween and go trick-or-treating without anyone being the wiser! I often wish I was a bit shorter so that I could get away with that.

I WAS SO MAD WHEN THE CUT YOU! Really I was. I even yelled at the TV and my little brother. They did not even have your name!

I was rooting for Uli too.
I was also jealous of you hanging out with Kayne. i was like, “aw, I wanna be friends with Kayne…”

I wanted to Laura to win, then Uli, Jefrrey and Michael. I basically realized that Jeffrey won because they editted like that. I was also mad that they didn’t even have your name. That was kind of rude, in my opinion. I’m short too, so maybe we should start a short club. Shorties unite!

Based on the whole show I wanted Michael or Laura to win..
Then came the pictures of Fashion week and it changed to Laura or Uli..
And then came the episode, I must say I disliked most of the music the designers choose for their runway, it was all a bit slow and sleepy music, but I guess thats a taste difference.
When I saw the runwayshow I thought Uli would win (and still wanted Laura to win too), she stepped more out of her comfort zone than Laura did and everything looked good.
Michael was a disappointment, although the outfits looked better in the episode than on the pictures, but hey t was his vision and he did his thing, so I guess good for him and he makes it up with every terrific garment he made during the show.
I didn’t like Jeffrey’s collection so much, but thats just because it wasn’t really my thing. Although I loved the green/white striped fabric and how he used it (the blazer looked good)..

But well Jeffrey deserved to win, actually all deserved to win but I don’t think the moneypeople behind PR would like that..
