Bling ala Malan

I just found this ring in my change jar (I don’t know how or why it was in there!), but I had totally forgotten about it.

During the Ms. Universe challenge, Malan decided that I didn’t have anough bling for a pageant challenge, so he gave me this ring to wear on the runway. Sadly it didn’t end up bringing us good luck, but I just wanted to give a big thanks to Malan for it… Thanks hon and good luck with your show at fashion week!

I loved the idea of this challenge, but thought the judges made a very poor decision in kicking Robert off. Jefferey was so rude to his client, and besides that it was UGLY. Robert listened to his client and it looked good on her. I’m so sick of the producers deciding what goes and doesn’t based on ratings. I’m sure they think if they get everyone pissed off and talking about it, they’ll get more viwers. They’re probably right, but it doesn’t make their decision right!

Whatever happened to Malan? By that I mean what is he up to now and does he have a blog too? I was hoping he could get further in the show. I loved his sweet soul that sort of peeped out at the end of his time on PRunway.

It sounds like he’s been keeping busy. Malan is showing at fashion week (I believe on Sept. 11th)! I’m sad because I’ll be flying into NY on the 12th so I’m missing his show by a day.

I'm currently loving ...

America's Best Dance Crew 2 While no one this season can compare to the JabbaWockeeZ, I'm still a big fan of this dance show (always wanted to be a dancer!).

Girl Talk "Feed the Animals" Okay... so the first time I saw this guy live, he was a bit of an a**hole to my friends band who opened for him, but I have to let that slide since I'm totally in love with this mix.

Bats for Lashes Saw this music video at the bike film festival this weekend and loved it. So simple and so creepy...

The Office I know... I'm late to the game, but I can't get enough of The Office right now!

Nortec Collective 5 guys on laptops + 1 trumpet + 1 accoridan... Ranks at the top of my list for best live shows ever, right up there with Radiohead and Flaming Lips.

Knit Book; Basics & Beyond I want to make some hats and I use to know how to knit, but need a refresher. This is a great book that covers a lot of info and has TONS of good pictures (great to learn from).

Bamboo Fabric Store I'm trying to move my Spring '08 collection into the green by using organic and/or sustainable fabrics. I found all my new bamboo jersey fabrics here and I'm totally in love with them!

Project Runway 3 DVD I got this for Christmas and am still too scared to watch it! I've heard that I'm shown on the DVD a lot more than I was on the season... eek!
