Hi guys! I’m back!

Sorry for the absence… we took a trip up to the North Shore and went snowboarding at Spirit Mt and Lutsen. Joe’s family rented out a awesome “Sea Villa” right on the shore of the Lake Superior “Sea.”

I’m writing recaps for the last 2 episodes of PR and will have them up in the next few days. Until then… here’s some pics from our trip:

Packing up the car… it’s small, but carries a lot! We were able to squeeze 6 boards, a pair of skis and our luggage! Whew.

Helmet Kiss

Okay, this one’s not from Lutsen, but I though I’d show Joe off a bit on the Rainbow rail at Theo Wirth park (where I just started teaching). The rail is a lot of fun, but I’m a chicken and can only go straight on… Joe does the fancy tricks. The picture is deceiving, but at the highest point of the rail, it’s easily taller than I am from the rail to the ground…scary!

I can’t snowboard at all, I can barely sled. Looks fun!

Looks like you had a good time. Someday I hope to learn how to snowboard, it looks much more fun that skiing. Not that I’ve done either!

I draw the line at skiing when it comes to Lutsen and Afton, only my fav kiddy slope at Buck Hill is reserved for snowboarding (or rolling down the hill on my butt).

I'm currently loving ...

Across the Universe I wasn't sold the first time I watched this, but then I couldn't stop thinking about it and now I'm loving it! Definitely gets you in the mood for some Beatles music.

The Office I know... I'm late to the game, but I can't get enough of The Office right now!

Nortec Collective 5 guys on laptops + 1 trumpet + 1 accoridan... Ranks at the top of my list for best live shows ever, right up there with Radiohead and Flaming Lips.

Knit Book; Basics & Beyond I want to make some hats and I use to know how to knit, but need a refresher. This is a great book that covers a lot of info and has TONS of good pictures (great to learn from).

Bamboo Fabric Store I'm trying to move my Spring '08 collection into the green by using organic and/or sustainable fabrics. I found all my new bamboo jersey fabrics here and I'm totally in love with them!

Project Runway 3 DVD I got this for Christmas and am still too scared to watch it! I've heard that I'm shown on the DVD a lot more than I was on the season... eek!

Chromeo I'm not so much into the whole 80's throwback trend, but these guys are awesome. Check out “Tenderoni” to know why.

Theo Wirth Snowboard Park I just started teaching here... great little secret in Minneapolis.

Of Montreal So good... but it gets stuck in my head and I wake up at 3am singing “Eva... I'm sorry. You will never have me... you're just some faggy girl and I need a lover with sole power...”

Brick Old fashioned “detective” style movie, but set in a modern high-school setting.
