My Summer "Top 10" Day 8
Top Summer Moment #8: Softball
When snowboarding season is over, softball takes its place trying to keep me happy until snowboarding starts again and this summer I played A LOT of softball. As always, I was a part of the awesome, amazing, kick ass Weaselhawks, but I was also on another team called “The Ducks” who play in both a summer and fall league.
On top of that, we play a pick-up game of softball every Thursday with a bunch of guys from the neighborhood. I say guys, because it really is mostly guys. I’m typically the only girl who plays with the exception of Joe’s mom who will play once in a while when she’s not too busy. It’s a lot of fun, but I often feel like I need to prove that I’m good enough to play with the boys… and this summer I did just that because I hit a home run! And it wasn’t an “overthrown, error filled home run,” it was a real “hit it over their head, beat the throw home” home run! Whoo Hoo!
Oh… and I also made Joe an awesome softball cape! A softball cape? Yeah, you know you want one.
