Happy 26th Birthday To Me!

My dad told me the other day that “Next year when you turn 27 you’ll be exactly half my age.” For some reason that made me feel old… but then I got over it because it means he’s REALLY old! (just kidding dad!)

Anyways…happy birthday to me! Now I just have to make it through the day until I can go mini golfing and eat the birthday carrot cake that Joe made me!

We ended up going out to dinner and then some mini golf! It kind of felt like I was 10 again!

Ahhh mini golf, I have such fond memories of mini golf. There used to be a great place that we would go to when I was a kid that had the most insane holes. The very first hole had a fake witch (with striped socks and everything) suspended above it, and you had to try to hit your ball so that the rotating witch didn’t knock it away with her broom. Other holes included aliens coming out of spaceships, and lobster boats. That place was wacky and awesome. Unfortunately, now it’s a Home Depot. :(

Aww happy birthday! psh…don’t worry 27 doesn’t sound old at all!

by the way..kind of a random side note but I was wondering if i could email you or contact you in some way about RISD? I’m considering applying there and going into their fashion program..but i kind of have mixed feelings about it being in Rhode Island rather than NY…and well yeah some other stuff too.

If you have the time to answer a few quick questions from an aspiring artist/designer just let me know!

I'm currently loving ...

America's Best Dance Crew 2 While no one this season can compare to the JabbaWockeeZ, I'm still a big fan of this dance show (always wanted to be a dancer!).

Girl Talk "Feed the Animals" Okay... so the first time I saw this guy live, he was a bit of an a**hole to my friends band who opened for him, but I have to let that slide since I'm totally in love with this mix.

Bats for Lashes Saw this music video at the bike film festival this weekend and loved it. So simple and so creepy...

Across the Universe I wasn't sold the first time I watched this, but then I couldn't stop thinking about it and now I'm loving it! Definitely gets you in the mood for some Beatles music.

The Office I know... I'm late to the game, but I can't get enough of The Office right now!

Nortec Collective 5 guys on laptops + 1 trumpet + 1 accoridan... Ranks at the top of my list for best live shows ever, right up there with Radiohead and Flaming Lips.

Knit Book; Basics & Beyond I want to make some hats and I use to know how to knit, but need a refresher. This is a great book that covers a lot of info and has TONS of good pictures (great to learn from).

Bamboo Fabric Store I'm trying to move my Spring '08 collection into the green by using organic and/or sustainable fabrics. I found all my new bamboo jersey fabrics here and I'm totally in love with them!

Project Runway 3 DVD I got this for Christmas and am still too scared to watch it! I've heard that I'm shown on the DVD a lot more than I was on the season... eek!
